What do I need to bring?

  • The only things you really need are a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Things you might like to have are a camera, your own mask and snorkel (for jumping in with the dolphins), maybe a book or magazine, and your own selection of music (I pod) for the boats stereo system.

Is lunch included?

  • We provide a full lunch with snacks, fruit, sodas and beer on a full day of fishing.

Is there very much shade?

  • There is plenty of shade during the whole day, and nice breeze is always moving through the boat due to its open design. There is a cabin below with two bunks as well

How many people can we have?

  • The maximum is 5 adults, but I recommend no more than four. This gives everyone more fishing time and more room. The bow of the boat provides a good place to lay out and get some sun.

What kind of safety gear do you have?

  • We carry USCG life jackets for everyone on board, fire extinguisher, and a VHF radio and cell phone for communication. The captain has had training in first aid of minor injuries and cuts

Can we jump in the water?

  • If the water conditions are calm (90% of the time) and the captain deems it safe, part of the fun is jumping in, sometimes with the dolphin!

Where do we meet the boat?

  • There is a small calm bay where the boats are moored at the south end of carrillo beach. We will send an inflatbable with an outboard in from the boat to pick you up when we see you standing on the beach

Can we take fish back to our hotel or house?

  • Not a problem, we are more than happy to filet up the edible catch and send some back with you. We can recommend several restaurants that will cook it up for a nominal fee.

How much should we tip?

  • If you receive good service, tip accordingly, the suggested amount would be like anywhere 10 to 20 percent of the charter. Tipping is not required but is very much appreciated by everyone on board.
